CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program combining gymnastics, body-weight movements and weight lifting elements designed to be fun for kids of all ages. Since most parents want their kids to grow up healthy and strong, avoiding the common problems associated with childhood inactivity and obesity, we have a program which is built for universal scalability. This makes it the perfect application for any individual regardless of age or experience.
It is important to recognise that CrossFit Kids is not simply a scaled down version of CrossFit, it is entirely CrossFit geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of that population (neurological, cognitive, motor).
CrossFit Kids delivers a fitness that is designed to be broad, general, inclusive and fun. Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift and jump effectively and safely regardless of whether or not they play sport. We take those principal movements and incorporate them into our classes across all ages in a fun way, so that they want to do it. We scale load and intensity but don’t change programs, ultimately resulting in good quality, functional movements in children.
Classes run every Saturday at the times listed below:
Pre-School (3-6 years) – 1:45 – 2:30pm
Kids (7-12 years) - 12:30 – 1:30pm
